Our Story

From Jardin to Le Chef: A Culinary Legacy

Jardin Mediterranean Cuisine, nestled in Iloilo City’s scenic Boardwalk along the Iloilo Esplanade, began as a haven for Mediterranean flavors, transporting diners to Greece, Morocco, Spain, and beyond. Its lush garden ambiance and carefully curated menu quickly made it a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike, setting a new standard for dining experiences in the City of Love.

As Jardin blossomed, it became clear that its influence went beyond simply serving exquisite meals—it inspired a deeper curiosity about Mediterranean culinary traditions and a passion for the art of cooking itself. This realization became the seed for a new vision: to establish a premier culinary institution that could nurture aspiring chefs in the Philippines. In 2023, that vision was realized with the founding of Le Chef Institute of Culinary Arts and Gastronomy.

Le Chef Institute was created as a center of excellence in culinary education, where students could learn from seasoned professionals and immerse themselves in global cuisine. At its core was Jardin’s very first resident chef, who brought decades of experience, a deep understanding of Mediterranean cuisine, and a love for teaching. As the resident teaching chef of Le Chef Institute, he now imparts his knowledge to the next generation, ensuring that the passion and precision that made Jardin extraordinary continue to thrive.
